russian island

in july 2018 i was on a working trip in the far east of russia. i was impressed by conjuction of the local nature and damage around. russian island was the new social hub of the educational and technological entrepreneurship and there an expansive development was underway. at the same time some natural local spots there were abandoned. i remember this moment when i was walking around close to the japanese sea, and got stuck in some trash hole. i tried to get out and leaned on a tree by hand. my fingers pierced through the tree full of slugs. it was disgusting and inspiring at the same time, i took out a camera and took a picture of the tree. when i came back home to the petersburg, i continued working with some sensations from this place, using rhytm, shape and graphics i captured with the camera.
